Marisa completed her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Alberta and her law degree at the University of Sussex in the UK. After articling at a boutique regulatory law firm in Calgary, where she obtained experience in environmental, energy, and administrative matters, Marisa was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019.

Marisa chose family law to make a difference

Marisa gained valuable experience but decided she wanted to make a difference in people’s everyday lives, and she found that family law does that.

Marisa focuses on family law and takes a practical, compassionate approach to resolving matters. She excels at finding balanced outcomes tailored to each client’s needs. She is committed to resolving issues in a supportive and cost-effective manner and believes alternative dispute resolution produces results. Marisa recognizes that some matters require court intervention and has experience representing clients in both the Alberta Court of Justice (formerly “Provincial Court”) and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.

When not in the office, Marisa can be found hiking, in a hot yoga studio, or travelling with her family.
